Fainting Episodes Leave Darren Hayes with a Major Jaw Injury

Former Savage Garden singer Darren Hayes went through a serious health incident after fainting three consecutive times, which resulted in a fracture on the left side of his jaw. The episode took place in March, following a period of intense stress in his personal life. According to his account, everything happened as he tried to get out of bed, a moment in which he suddenly lost consciousness.

When he regained awareness, Hayes found himself with extreme jaw pain, traces of blood, and nine broken teeth. The impact was so severe that his jaw actually split in two, requiring reconstructive surgery. The procedure was essential to restore stability and function to the affected area, marking the beginning of a challenging recovery process.

After the operation, Hayes explained that rehabilitation has not been easy, as he will be unable to move his jaw for eight weeks and must rely solely on liquid food. For now, he has chosen to step away from the music world to fully focus on his recovery and put his private life back in order.
